Bonnie Trowbridge

Bonnie Trowbridge is a clean fleets and transportation expert with 15 years of experience working directly with fleets and individuals to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission vehicles, technology and infrastructure. She is the Executive Director of Drive Clean Colorado, a Clean Cities coalition, where she leads the charge toward achieving breathable air by advancing clean transportation and equitable mobility. Bonnie serves as a Board member appointed by Colorado’s Governor Polis for the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Transit Enterprise Board, which is working to support public transportation electrification in Colorado. In addition, Bonnie is the co-chair for the Women of EVs Colorado chapter and is a volunteer EV coach for Drive Electric Colorado.

Her experience includes marketing and communication, business development and fundraising, grant writing and management, and strategic planning. She spent 11 years in public relations and marketing for Lightning eMotors, manufacturer of electric powertrains for medium- and heavy-duty buses and trucks, and worked at CALSTART, a non-profit organization working to commercialize clean and efficient transportation solutions, where she led events such as a California policy summit, industry leader workshops, and utility engagement programs. Prior to working in the transportation field, Bonnie was a development director for nonprofits in Denver and Washington, D.C.

Bonnie lives in Colorado and has a personal mission to drive every electric vehicle type available in the state. (She’s checked most passenger EVs plus electric school buses and street sweepers off her list and is looking for an opportunity to drive an electric refuse truck.)
